Not necessarily. A "food contact" certification confirms that the gloves do not transfer harmful substances to food. For work involving chemicals, you should always check the resistance rating according to the EN ISO 374 standard (Type A, B, or C).
How do you choose the right cut protection level (A–F)?
The choice depends on the severity of the hazard. Levels A–B are intended for light-duty tasks (assembly, packaging). Levels C–D are the standard in the metal and glass industries. Levels E–F are designed for high-risk tasks, such as handling very sharp tools or material edges, steel scrap, or broken glass.
